Science Technician – Denbighshire School – Full Time

We are looking for a general Science Technician to join a science department in a Denbighshire school, starting immediately after the half-term break.  You will need to support the teaching and learning across all three areas of the science department and be responsible for the preparation of laboratory equipment.

The ideal candidate would have practical experience within a laboratory environment as well as good written, verbal and ICT skills. They should have a good working knowledge and skills of science preparation. They must also have an awareness of Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible approach are essential to meet the varied demands of a school environment. Applicants must have an ability to act on their own initiative and to organise and prioritise their workload each week.

This role has no fixed end date as it is covering an ongoing absence from a permanent member of staff – it is expected to continue on a long-term basis however.
