WOMEN’S AID INTEGRATED SERVICES (WAIS)

Providing support to women and their children experiencing or escaping
abuse throughout Nottingham and region.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stronger Families Children’s Group Worker to join our dynamic team in an organisation which is at the forefront of domestic violence support. The appointed person will have a good understanding of the issues faced by hard to engage groups.

Stronger Families Children’s Group Worker

25 hours per week over four days

Fixed Term Contract to March 2019

NJC Scale point 25 - £22,434 pro rata

The Stronger Families Group is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Stronger Families therapeutic group work programme by Lead Facilitating groups for children aged 5 to 16 years who have been affected by domestic violence and abuse in order to assist their recovery from harm. Duties will include undertaking assessments of families referred to the programme; training facilitators from partner agencies; attending Safeguarding Multi Agency meetings; assisting with monitoring and evaluation of the service.

Closing date for applications is Tuesday 7th November at 5pm.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2017 (subject to change)
