Project Manager - Stoke-on-Trent
Engineering Infrastructure in Hazardous Areas.
cGBP50k Basic + Excellent Benefits

Primary Duties:

?? To be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer projects, from go ahead through design, build, install, test & commission to closure and documentation completion.

?? Manage and co-ordinate the company?s resources allocated to the project?s delivery.

?? To be responsible for the financial management and control of the project through design, build, install etc.

?? To manage any changes in scope and design, ensure all costs implications are managed within the company and the customer.

?? Be responsible for the communications with the customer?s project team and site personnel, including progress reporting, addressing all project related issues, risks and challenges to the ensure the smooth on-time delivery of the project.

?? Provide coaching and mentoring to those resources allocated to the project to ensure effective customer management and on time delivery of the project.

?? To provide periodical reports on the progress and performance (including financial) of the project to meet the governance and controls.

?? Maintain close liaison with key stakeholders including Sales, Manufacturing, Finance and Engineering.

?? Undertake all necessary staff management duties including annual appraisals and personal development planning.

?? Ensure compliance with company quality, environmental and standard operating procedures.

Secondary Duties:

?? Participate in all company events and required management meetings, including preparation of any materials for said events.

?? Provide coaching, mentoring and training to colleagues as required to ensure the effective running of the Engineering department.

Essential Skills:

?? You must have at least 7 years? experience in delivering major (engineering) infrastructure projects in hazardous areas.

?? 2 years? experience of leading projects in demanding customer environments.

?? Strong leadership skills and can demonstrate effective customer

management, able to coach and mentor all involved stakeholders.

?? Experience in managing various contract types including NEC3.

?? Strong financial and numerical acumen.

?? Self-motivated and can work alone or with minimal supervision.

?? Effective listening skills.

?? Degree qualified Engineer or HNC + significant technical experience.

Desirable Skills:

?? Qualified Prince2 practitioner or APM

?? Chartered Engineer
