We are currently seeking a JAVA Developer to join my client's team in further developing their market leading Social Services Case Management software. This is a modern, browser based Java workflow solution.

Main Responsibilities:

Deliver software development for the client's market leading Integrated Adults System, used in Social Services Departments; Use technical and development skills to investigate and resolve software issues.

Person Specification:

As a talented Java Developer you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of web-based applications for the Health and Social Care sector with skills in the following:

  • Minimum 5 years experience of developing commercial applications within a busy team atmosphere, of which 3 years must be using Java;
  • Database and SQL programming (highly desirable)
  • Web application development (IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, Oracle 9iAS etc). Note that they primarily use their own in house written Application Server but knowledge of these would be beneficial;
  • Database Design;
  • HTML; XML/XSD; HL7; Web services, SOAP, ebXML;
  • GUI Design;
  • Analysis & Design techniques;
  • Agile development methodologies;
  • Knowledge of Social Care systems would also be beneficial.
