An established roofing & cladding contractor is currently looking to appoint a proven Project Manager to liaise closely with Contracts Managers and Site Operatives and ensure that each project runs smoothly and to budget.
The Position:
Based in the field and visiting all sites as necessary for your role, you will:
Complete all site-related paperwork for recording and monitoring purposes
Ensure that any site-related issues are dealt with promptly
Attend site upon initial commencement of works on individual projects
Attend site progress meetings with clients/main contractors
Internally plan projects with Contract Managers to highlight the most efficient working methods and then implement on site
Manage and motivate site foremen/operatives
Ensure that the maximum efficiency is afforded to labour and plant
Ensure that projects are built to specification and to excellent quality standards, on time and within budget
Ensure that sub-contractors' progress claims are relevant to monies invoiced
Ensure that material requests are taken from the site foreman in good time so as not to delay their requisition
Produce daily or weekly targets for each team of operatives to achieve
Undertake appropriate training and staff development as required
Adhere to all company's policies and procedures, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety
Adhere to Company's environmental policy and guidelines and undertake tasks in a sustainable manner
The Candidate:
Applicants will be required to demonstrate:
Proven contracts/project management experience for a sub-contractor in the construction industry, ideally within the external building envelope
Good communication and leadership skills
The ability to prioritise effectively across multiple, concurrent projects
A track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget and to company/statutory HSQE standards
A full and clean UK driving licence
