The Cloud Solutions Architect Opportunity:

Due to expansion, we’re now recruiting for a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Managed Services team based in Cambridge. You’ll lead technical discussions in Cloud (public, private and hybrid), Datacentre, Compute, Storage, Networking, Virtualisation and Security supporting the sales teams during customer meetings, conference calls and webinars and will have an excellent understanding of managed services, managed hosting, outsourcing, service provider software licenses and commercial modelling. 

You will also have extensive experience of working with vendors such as Microsoft, HPE hardware, VMWare, Cisco and Citrix.

You will work with our key strategic partners and customers in order to help define business solutions and services that are relevant for any given opportunity; this means working carefully to provide technical expertise whilst supporting sales in customer meetings and delivering a high level of customer service in all instances.

This is not a hands-on technical delivery role, but the ability to assist technical delivery consultants when required will be an advantage. 

Field Cloud Solutions Architect Skills & Experience:

Proven technical experience in technology areas identified above, along with an excellent understanding of the following is essential:

+ Managed Services
+ Managed Hosting
+ Outsourcing
+ Service provider software licenses
+ Commercial modelling
+ ITIL/Service Desk
+ Project management
+ Datacentre Transition/Migration projects

+ Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud deployment experience:

++ Covering Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare
++ Experience with micro services is an advantage
++ Experience of public cloud PaaS offerings

+ Strong understanding of the current and future cloud market;
+ Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations;
+ Able to discuss business and technical drivers with CxO level stakeholders;
+ Define and deliver a customers cloud strategy mapping back to the core business requirements
+ Previous experience running customer demos and answering customer technical queries;
+ Ability to comprehend customer requirements highlighting a genuine value proposition;
+ demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations;
+ excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to articulate an opinion effectively;
+ excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work cross functionally and interact confidently with multiple stakeholders;
+ confident in presenting with a natural flair for engaging with an audience;
+ natural flair for delivering high levels of customer service;
+ excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines;
+ team player – understands the importance of collaborative working.

Qualifications/Certifications:

+ Technical BS degree (or equivalent), in Computer Sciences or Mathematics (and/or equivalent industry experience).

Benefits & Perks:

Salary: OTE up to £90,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes a car allowance, performance related bonus and commission. The performance related bonus will be driven by the candidate achieving agreed KPIs throughout the year.

Location: Field based / from our offices in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

Additional Information:

+ Must have the right to live and work in the UK
+ Must have full and valid UK driving licence and access to own transport to travel between sites
+ Any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing a full DBS national security vetting process
