LEARNER SUPPORT ASSISTANT

GBP9.87 per hour. Various hours available.

The Learner Support team at the College are seeking to recruit exceptional and dedicated Learner Assistants, with a wide range of interpersonal skills including passion and empathy. The ideal candidates must be resilient individuals who have the drive to take an energetic approach to education and be willing to undertake a variety of activities with our SEN students.

The successful candidates will need to be dedicated to student achievement and be committed to ensuring students realise their potential by providing exciting learning opportunities that will both inspire and challenge. This is key, as you will be required to support a range of students, either on a 1:1 or in small group basis.

Our SEN students require a range of proactive assistance including additional educational support, emotional and social development and in some cases individual needs support for students with multiple learning difficulties or disabilities.

We are looking for a bank of flexible Learner Assistants with the essential qualities of excellent communication skills, who are able to work effectively as part of a team, while also using their own initiative.

Candidates must hold a Level 2 / GCSE English and Maths - Grades C / 4 / 5 or above (or equivalent). It is not a requirement to hold a Teaching Assistant qualification on application.

A friendly and professional team who have previous experience in these areas will be on hand to support and guide appropriately.
