Field Visual Merchandiser

We are currently recruiting for a Field Visual Merchandiser to join the team here at Matalan Head Office. As a Field Visual Merchandiser you will work with the VM Manager to provide our retail stores with hands on support and coaching to achieve the Visual Brand Strategy. You will develop excellent working relationships with Area Managers to ensure consistent visual communications across all stores, giving creative and inspiring visual guidance to the area, promoting a positive and innovative brand image.

The Field Visual Merchandiser willbe responsible for delivering exciting and Inspirational customer focused Visual compliance in the Matalan stores, providing Head Office teams with robust feedback on Visual tools and communications and support Model store & the current store refresh program.

• Support the agenda to deliver Excellence in Visual Merchandising through Model stores, New Stores, Refits providing innovation & consistency across all customer touch points in the store environment, that delivers against KPI's and customer expectations.
• Work with the Regional Visual Merchandiser to ensure that the VM Strategy is delivering the requirements of the Customer Agenda in stores through First Class standards of product presentation and training, ensuring the Matalan Brand provides customers with an aspiring and inspirational shopping experience, making Matalan their destination Brand of Choice.
• I deliver an aspiring and inspirational store experience, through excellence in Visual Merchandising training and sustainability which gives customers a reason to shop with Matalan as their number one destination of choice
• To support and drive the VM training and sustainability program to deliver the Area Sales plan. To ensure First Class standards of product presentation & consistency of store visits across the area, understanding the Brand, retail and commercial priorities.
• Support the VM Manager on the delivery of the VM training programme and ensure stores are engaged and inspired to deliver the business objectives considering all the commercial requirements of our key strategic agendas for Creative VM and Model Stores.
• Regular updates with Area Managers to discuss and agree priority stores and solutions
• Ensure that all New Stores, Refits & Store Operational requirements are fully supported across the region, building the Matalan Brand whilst keeping the customer in the Heart and Mind of everything we do.
• Ensuring innovative and inspiring ways of working and Creative Visual Merchandising through Centre of Excellence training across all model stores, training Area specialists and stores to deliver WGLL for the Brand
• Support the VM Manager to deliver the VM training and sustainability plan that aligns the Customer Experience to the commercial goals and desired Brand experience of the Matalan Business.
• Ensure collaborative ways of working across all functions to deliver Creative Visual Merchandising processes that support the business needs.
• To be aware and informed of the Global Visual Merchandising Trends & use them to add value and drive newness ensuring the customer experience is first class.

• Experience in a previous field VM role
• Suitable professional management experience
• Excellent VM skills gained from strong high street retailers
• Excellent PC skills
• A sound understanding of store operations couples with a good general commercial awareness
• Excellent proven communication, presentation and influencing skills
