Predict; prepare; protect - we provide top-quality flood modelling and forecasting services, working to help our clients to understand and mitigate flood risk in order to protect the population, design more resilient infrastructure, and prepare for the challenges that climate change will pose.
Demand for these services continues to grow, and in response to this we are keen to engage a talented flood modeller or flood risk specialist to strengthen our team in Leeds. This position can be offered on a full-time or a part-time basis.
You will work closely with our teams of engineers and technical specialists to deliver a wide range of modelling assignments for UK and international clients. These may include flood modelling, coastal hydrodynamic modelling, and water quality modelling. Your input will help our internal teams and external clients to deliver complex multidisciplinary projects that will provide great benefits to local communities and the environment.
Candidate profile:
- Relevant degree-level qualifications (e.g. hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering, or other related disciplines)
- Strong interest in flood risk management and related environmental areas
- Solid understanding of pluvial, fluvial and coastal hydraulic modelling
- Competent in modelling and geo-spatial software packages (eg: ISIS, TUFLOW, FEH, ArcGIS, MapInfo)
