IT Trainer (Leeds) Department - Information Technology Reporting Line - IT Training Manager Purpose of the Role To design, develop and deliver an in-house IT training service in accordance with the Firm's objectives. This will also involve working with the wider IT team and the Firm to deliver innovative training solutions. There will be a requirement to work from any of the UK offices from time to time as required by service demands. Duties The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties the IT Trainer undertakes: ?? Work with the IT Training Manager to deliver the IT Training Strategy. ?? Develop and maintain course materials, training documents such as hand-outs, manuals and exercises using both eLearning and online resources. ?? Deliver training on commonly used programs such as Microsoft Office along with specific training on all in-house applications. ?? Deliver training to support projects. ?? Support, mentor and coach learners using various learning technologies, providing feedback in a supportive and constructive manner. ?? Maintain appropriate records of learner development and resource allocation. ?? Work with the Service team to capture training issues and produce knowledge for the customers. ?? Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcomes. ?? Travel to and deliver training at all UK offices, as required. Knowledge, skills and experience desirable (bespoke to role) ?? IT or Teaching/Training qualification such as PTLLS, CompTIA CTT, TAP, CIPD or Microsoft Certified Trainer. ?? Microsoft Certified Training Accreditation or other vendor certifications such as ECDL to an advanced level. ?? Experience of designing and delivering training, including induction and one to one, within a professional services environment. ?? Experience of delivering training as part of project rollouts and ideally being a Training Lead on projects. ?? Experience with web based and eLearning training environments. ?? Experience of working in a professional environment. ?? Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an ability to communicate business and technical information to groups with a range of learning abilities. ?? Ability to identify, plan, design and develop training. ?? Ability to deliver training and explanations/solutions in a confident and professional manner to Partners and staff of all levels. ?? Strong organisation and time management skills. ?? High standard of interpersonal skills to gain credibility and maintain positive relationships with staff, Partners and external parties. ?? Experience of analysing training needs. ?? Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying learning styles and abilities.
