Innovation Researcher (Science & Tech R&D)/Bid Writer

Using the years of experience you have gained within an academic research role in science, technology or engineering, you will start working with some of the most innovative organisations in the UK and develop bids that will secure significant funding for Research and Development.My Client is a grant funding consultancy specialising in engineering and technology. Their people come from academic research backgrounds are now one the UK's leading specialists in bid funding for international R&D grants in STEM based innovations.The bids are large, complex and challenging and require significant research in order to provide the necessary technical detail. Research is required into new markets, competing products, patents and the overall feasibility of the innovation/technology. Extensive interaction and engagement is required with stakeholders often working in R&D in order to gather the relevant data, information etc. The bid frameworks are interesting and challenging and with multiple bids and research working concurrently the position involves project management. Overall this is a highly interesting, satisfying and challenging role that gives a great sense of achievement. Fantastic to see your efforts result in a funding to a new technology that then goes to market! Our ideal candidate will enjoy Research, producing bid, business cases, tenders and/or research documentation. We are looking for individuals who want to interact with R&D Engineers, Senior Stakeholders in external organisations and take a step in to consulting.
