Pre Construction Manager

About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Pre Construction Manager to join our Ground Engineering - Management team to work in Derby.

What you'll be doing

As a Pre Construction Manager, you will:

• Actively participate in determining the business strategy for Driven Piling
• Contribute to the development of the overall strategy for work winning in the business stream. Provide market and work winning data to allow these strategic decision to be made
• Provide weekly updates on bid status and monthly overview of market conditions to the senior managers and operational teams.
• Communicate and manage the work winning strategy to the pre construction teams and ensure compliance.
• Interrogate targeted or high risk enquiries/tenders to minimise risk and maximise opportunity

Who we're looking for
You will:

• Have experience in, and exceptional technical/engineering knowledge of, ground engineering processes
• Be both focussed and thorough and have the gravitas and professional credibility to advise senior management when something needs immediate redress together with the tenacity and drive to ensure that the necessary action is taken
• Be a subject matter expert with a good understanding in other areas in the engineering field
