Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver / Picker / Packer

Forklift Driver with a valid forklift certification is needed by our client, a high profile and fast-moving Transport and Distribution Service. Due to their success, they are now looking for a new member to join their team in Chard.

The Role

• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
• Moving goods around the storage facility
• Stacking goods in the correct storage areas & following stock control instructions
• Checking loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Keeping a record of operating equipment
• Scanning pallets on and off of vehicles
• Performing daily equipment and warehouse checks
• Examining pallets and products to verify conformance to quality and safety standards

Essential Skills

• Valid Forklift certification
• Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required
• Basic computer skills
• High degree of attention
• Good math, language and reading skills
• Good sense of balance, sight and body coordination
• Ability to assess weights & judge distances and heights

Type: 45 hours per week on a split shift rota
