Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician or Engineer looking to take on a new challenge? If so Viridor are recruiting and are looking for individuals just like you!

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician for our team in Ford, working 47.5 hours a week.

In return for your hard work as our Maintenance Technician, we can offer a salary of £33,000 - £36,000 per annum plus excellent benefits, pension scheme and plenty of opportunity for personal development; working within in a team-orientated and collaborative environment, for a company that strives to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

The ideal Maintenance Technician:

• Formal Engineering qualification
• 17th Edition of the IEE wiring regulations
• Formal experience of working within an Engineering environment in a multiskilled role with electrical bias
• Experience of PLC control systems and inverter drives
• Maintenance of process plant and equipment including materials handling equipment; safe systems of work

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include:

• Plan, organise and where necessary to undertake preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance to MRF plant and equipment.
• Ensure continuous improvement projects are seen through to a successful conclusion
• Uphold and exceed standards of safety ensuring all work areas are kept tidy by adopting a “clean as you go” approach at all times
• Be aware of budget and stock control and maintain shift paperwork to the required standards
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner
• Ensure the completion of the PPM tasks and formulate improved maintenance practices.
