Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Holmfirth, West Yorkshire

Salary: Competitive basic dependent on experience + sales commission

The company is a professional outsourcing business based in Holmfirth, who specialises in supporting SME's in areas such as HR and H&S. They have a strong client base particularly focused on manufacturing and to date have gained much of their business through networking and word of mouth referrals.

The company is now looking to take the next step and grow the business in the next few years with the help of a dedicated BDE.

For this progressive role as a Business Development Executive you will preferably have 2-3 years of B2B sales experience selling business services. You will also be an excellent communicator in person and on the phone as well as being adaptable and having a can do attitude.

The role is offered initially on a part time basis with the option to increase their hours, should the candidate wish in line with their success and the growth of the business. A commission scheme will be available for all new clients the BDE generates based on a percentage of the new clients sales.

The Role:

The aim of this role is to generate new business and drive sales. As a Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for proactively managing your new business pipeline by carrying out direct marketing and sales activities over the phone, email and through social media. You will be required to build profitable long-term relationships whilst working in collaboration with their team.

Key Requirements:

  • Using creative methods to reach out to key decision makers within the targeted businesses - SME's in Yorkshire
  • Cold calling prospective customers and businesses to create opportunities
  • Assist the customer in understanding the products and services my client provides
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach when dealing with prospective clients and Intermediaries
  • Attend networking events to raise the profile and awareness of my client's services
  • Creation and effective use of social media platforms to drive traffic and interest to their website and generate leads

About You:

  • Currently eligible to live and work in the UK on an ongoing basis (no sponsorship available)
  • You will have worked previously in a B2B sales and/or marketing role
  • You will have an outgoing, confident and very professional approach to business
  • You will not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to your next potential client
  • Results focused
  • Able to quickly establish a rapport and build relationships
  • Be organised and focused
  • Be a self-starter
