Role: Employee Relations & Policy Consultant

Salary: GBP38,000 to GBP50,000

Benefits: 9% bonus at target, PMI after 1 years service, 28 days annual leave, double matched pension

We have an exciting, permanent opportunity for an Employee Relations & Policy Consultant to join a newly formed Employee Relations & Policy Team based in Wilmslow.

The ER and Policy Consultant will provide expert advice and coaching in dispute resolution/case management, employment policy and collective representation. They will work closely with the ER & Policy Manager to shape the strategy and operation of the team while providing a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a case management service for people managers, providing ER expertise and guidance, to support them to manage cases effectively while building knowledge and capability.
  • Deliver best practice employment policies using knowledge and experience of employment legislation, analysis of policy effectiveness and industry and future trends.
  • Provide support and advice on collective representation matters.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent technical skills in relation to People policies and governance.
  • Up to date, working knowledge of employment legislation.
  • A proven track record in case management advice.
  • Experience of working with collective representatives eg unions/staff associations.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship skills.
  • Customer focused and service oriented.
