An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Planned Works Manager to join us in Spennymoor, Durham.

Within this role, you will manage the day to day operation of projects, taking overall responsibility for tenant and client satisfaction and involvement. You will be responsible for all elements of projects, including management, supervision, operational and administration, budgeting, cost control and client liaison.

Projects will include the refurbishment of empty homes in addition to Capital and ad-hoc client project works and Estates Team coaching/supervision. Your key areas of focus will be health and safety, quality of work, target completion dates, correctly following and monitoring of processes and procedures whilst monitoring technical competence and value for money.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience of operating in a social housing repairs and maintenance contracting environment coupled with experience of supervising operatives and subcontractors.

With knowledge of void, small projects and maintenance contracts, measured term contracts and schedule of rates, you should have demonstrable understanding of job control and experience of working in Social Housing.  In addition, you will also be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Project and Word.

Although not essential, a trade City & Guilds qualification and H&S qualification would be desirable.

Candidates for this role must hold a UK driving licence
