Mechanical Design Engineer

Exciting growth has led to a new opening for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with proven 3D CAD skills and commercial experience of NPD involving plastics component design. You will play a key role in investigating new technologies, using your strong technical skills and analytical abilities to make a positive impact on the company's growth, having the confidence to take full ownership of projects.

Your Academic Background:
You'll hold a minimum of a 2.1 Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

You should have hands-on experience of the following:
• Mechanical product design of mid/high volume electronic products.
• Design of electronic enclosures to meet demanding environmental requirements.
• CAD Skills: AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor (2D & 3D).
• Electronics components, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to the full design lifecycle from initial concept through to production. You will manage engineering changes, maintain detailed design records and will participate in field evaluations.
