This is an opportunity to join a growing information technology company based in Cheshire as a IOS Engineer.
The role has come about due to continued investment into the company and as a result, expansion. The company therefore needs to recruit a Senior Developer to manage the numerous projects arising from this exciting period.
This position is hybrid with a dual focus on hands on programming and wider responsibilities such as stakeholder management, Mobile architecture (iOS), technical leadership and research. You will act as a technical escalation point within their Mobile function, leading greenfield projects whilst ensuring the support and maintenance of Legacy applications.
You will be working on one of the organisation's flagship applications, supporting the existing technology stack whilst also developing a range of new features that look to improve the service it delivers to its customers. The projects will be enterprise-scale and you will get the chance to truly put your stamp on the technology roadmap.
Your role will involve working across the full Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on coding standards and ensuring best practice principles/code quality is consistently maintained.
From a technical standpoint, they are looking for knowledge and experience of the following:
- Excellent programming experience in Objective-C and Swift
- Experience with APIs (RESTful, SOAP)
- Experience with Xcode, AutoLayout, Storyboards and SDK Frameworks
- Experience with Cocoa Touch and SpriteKit
- Programming experience in C++
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration and DevOps
- Experience unit testing applications
- Strong understanding of Mobile architecture and technology roadmaps
In terms of culture, you would struggle to find somewhere better.
Their CTO is looking to create a 'Google-feel' with their office space and it includes a gym, tennis courts, on-site childcare and social areas where you can grab some food and a coffee with your colleagues! They offer a flexible benefits package (private healthcare, 10-15% bonus, 10% pension) and a competitive salary between GBP45,000 - GBP65,000
