MSIM Fixed Income are seeking a Junior Trader in London focusing on the credit market. The ideal candidate should have some experience in investment grade and high yield corporate credit markets. The individual will initially be responsible for assisting the trading desk in assessing market liquidity, locating best price and filtering opportunities to identify best ideas. The ideal candidate should have an interest in markets, strong communication skills and enjoy building a network of contacts. Strong Technology skills, proven academic achievements and a commitment to a team based process are essential characteristics.

Responsibilities:
• Execute trades and generate trade ideas with a focus on Euro and Sterling credit markets.
• Interface with the dealer community to represent MSIM with highest quality and analyze market color
• Build relationships with respective sell-side traders and build our profile with the dealer trading and syndicate desks
• Be a value added member of the global credit team to generate investment ideas working closely as partner with portfolio managers and analysts
• Enhance and work within the confines of best execution policies
• Work within investment process to drive relative value analysis across client portfolios
• Willingness to backup other trading desks as needed
• Be a partner with compliance, valuation and operations teams

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• Some experience in credit markets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, high ethical standards and strictly adhering to firm's policies
• Ability to handle pressure and work a high level and multi-task
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and be a contributing member of the global investment team
• Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills and exhibit those skills within the global credit team
• Negotiation skills to achieve best interests of clients with broker/dealers
