Catering Assistant
GBP7.60 per hour
Everyone loves good food and good company, in this role you get to provide both. Food is central to the happiness and wellbeing of the people that live in our services. This role is more than just serving meals and refreshments to residents and their visitors and supporting the catering team, it's about making someone's day.
You'll have a natural affinity with older people and be keen to assist residents with meal choices, supporting the catering team in making each meal an event. Your enthusiasm will be infectious and residents will look forward to your visits as much as they do the refreshments that you bring them.
This is a full time role at 36 hours, including weekends to be worked over 7 days on a rota basis. We also have a full time temporary vacancy which will be a 10 month contract to cover maternity leave.
In return we offer a hourly rate of GBP7.60, enhanced rates for working Bank Holidays, 5.6 weeks of annual leave including Bank Holidays increasing to 6 weeks with five years service. In addition we provide training and continuing personal development, a free uniform, free DBS Check and free staff meals when on duty.
Brendoncare Park Road provides nursing care for 40 residents in Winchester, enabling older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives.
