Are you seeking a role that would provide the opportunity to participate in strategic discussions about the use of property? Do you have experience of advising on a range of property transactions and would like to utilise this knowledge for assisting a nationwide charity? Connexional Property Lawyer Salary range: GBP40,000- 42,0000 (FTE) per annum including Inner London Allowance 2 Year Fixed Term Contract - Full time or Part Time The Methodist Church is seeking a lawyer with experience of real estate and commercial property transactions who can assist the Church in achieving its new property strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to advise the Property Development Committee on the legal aspects of proposed developments and appropriate legal structures and oversee the instruction of external legal advice as required. The Church is seeking someone who is interested in a role that is more than drafting legal documents or responding to the requests of clients, this role will require a lawyer willing to participate in strategic discussions about property investment. The ideal candidate will also be able to use their own initiative to highlight concerns, provide robust guidance and offer pragmatic solutions. The successful applicant will also be able to offer guidance to Managing Trustees of local churches and circuits on the potential legal issues and structures of property developments. An understanding of charity law would be desirable but not essential. The ability to convey complex matters to a diverse range of audiences, both orally and in writing is essential.
