Job Title: Junior Sales Executive

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 + commission

Position: Permanent, Full Time

Who are they looking for? The company is a Platinum Safe Software partner and an FME value-added reseller. They are looking for a Junior Sales Executive to work across their sales team and FME Division to join the team to build their overall sales capacity and help get FME into a broader market. The company is a rapidly growing business and therefore personal development opportunities and prospects for promotion are high for the right candidate.

What will you do? As a Junior Sales Executive at 1Spatial you'll have 3 main roles. Firstly, you'll work with the FME Division Manager and their Marketing team to promote the FME service offerings through their established channels. Secondly, you'll own and manage the company's recurring revenue stream and thirdly you'll work in cooperation with the wider sales and pre-sales teams to identify opportunities, assist in the construction of demonstrations and deliver presentations to win business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the FME Division and the Marketing team with sales campaigns and promotional activities
  • Conduct sales campaign follow up calls and where appropriate take responsibility for the end to end sales process; from cold to closed
  • Take responsibility for and achieve quarterly sales targets
  • Identify new sales campaign opportunities and work with the Head of the FME Division and the Marketing team to take these to market
  • Identify and close additional sales opportunities through the company's usual communication channels
  • Support the account managers with demo content and pricing enquiries
  • Manage the Support and Maintenance renewals process

Key Requirements:

  • Candidates should have some experience or be able to demonstrate an understanding of the sales process
  • Candidates need to be hard working, results driven, motivated by success and take pride in personal performance
  • Candidates will be required to have a good customer-facing attitude, along with strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Candidates should have a strong attention to detail
  • Candidates should be keen to learn and develop their skill sets through experience
  • Candidates must be available to travel
  • A general level of knowledge of the GIS industry is desirable however not essential
