Northam Lodge is a charity in North Devon with over 40 years’ experience of providing residential and day services to people with profound learning and physical disabilities. Our specialism and expertise working with people with such complex needs has already earned us an excellent reputation for our work across Devon.

We want our new CEO to lead us to be the best charity in South West England for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. We want to grow our work to meet the needs of this growing group and ensure that our services are valued by our clients, their families and the professionals involved in commissioning and supporting our activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our work, along with a background and experience that equips them to thrive with this challenge.  You will be passionate about personalised care for people with disabilities and will have a track record of helping people towards independence, choice and dignity.  You are likely to have a professional background in learning disability specialist nursing or a similar allied profession and will see it as a rare privilege to develop an organisational culture which will attract and retain good people.

The role could be full or part-time, but we are seeking a truly excellent candidate who will provide the leadership and guidance to make us the centre of excellence we believe we can be.

The full-time equivalent salary is in the region of £45,000, or by negotiation for the ideal candidate.

Recruitment Process

Stage Two:  If your initial application is successful, you need to be available for a first interview with Jackie Dawkins on the 20th November. You may also be able to meet with Charlie Dixon, Northam Lodge’s current CEO and have a visit to the Charity’s services.

Stage Three:  If successful, you will be invited for an interview and a series of exercises with Board members.
