LOCATION: Romsey and Eastleigh
JOB TITLE: Care Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: Day Shift: Ranging from GBP7.90 - GBP8.16 per hour depending on qualifications
Night Shift: Ranging from GBP8.25 - GBP8.50 per hour depending on qualifications
Paid breaks, uniform provided, NEST pension, employee 24 hr assistance programme
Double pay Christmas Day/Boxing Day & New Years Day. 28 days holidays inc. bank holidays
WORKING HOURS: Full / Part Time hours / Bank contracts
THE COMPANY: Our client has new, luxurious modern care homes where they always put their residents' needs first to make every day happy, comfortable and fulfilled. They need motivated Care Assistants to join their friendly team in Romsey (there are also opportunities available in Eastleigh).
THE ROLE: For the role of the Care Assistant, you will provide individual care as required by each resident in order to meet their personal needs whilst ensuring that each person's dignity and individuality is upheld and their independence, choice and control is promoted at all times. There are opportunities to look after Residential / Dementia and Rehabilitation clients.
Key Responsibilities for the Care Assistant role to include:-
Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting / assisting residents when required which includes personal care
Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided
Promoting continence and assisting with toileting
Assisting in framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them to continue with hobbies and activities in the Home
Making Visitors feel welcome. Providing refreshments / assistance as and when required
THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Care Assistant you will be self-motivated, proactive, adaptable and a flexible team player. You will be friendly, kind, honest, reassuring and an effective communicator. You share the company's goal of delivering excellent care to the residents and you will need to live within a commutable distance to Romsey and/ or Eastleigh.
Key experience essential for the role of Care Assistant :-
Physically and medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities with or without assistive aids
NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualifications, if not willingness to obtain
