Senior mechanical design engineer- Automotive

A large manufacturer are seeking a senior mechanical design engineer to join their team in South Wales.

If you have experience working with CAD, and significant design, development and/or project engineering experience, then you may be the Engineer we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering cost effective solutions for a range of automotive products, as agreed with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager. You'll have the ability to handle various design activities including CAD, FMEA, calculations and tolerance layouts. In addition to this, you'll be able to perform development test activities including test specification and DVP&R.

What skills/experience should you have?

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Significant design, development and/or project engineering experience, preferably in an automotive environment
• Working knowledge of CAD (preferably Pro-Engineer Creo 2)
• An understanding of materials and stress/strain theory and FE Analysis
