Established in 1999, Next Link provides a range of domestic abuse support services to women and children within Bristol, BaNES and South Glos. 

Next Link delivers domestic abuse safe house and community support services in Bristol. Our integrated service delivery team has a number of exciting opportunities for creative and highly motivated women with a broad understanding of domestic abuse issues, complex needs and a commitment to providing a high quality inclusive service within Bristol.

Female Trainee Support Worker – Complex Needs Safe House

Salary: Point 18; £18,070

Hours: 37.5 hours  (including some evening and Saturday working on a rota basis and participation on out of hours telephone on-call rota)     

Location: Bristol

As a trainee within the integrated team, you will be supported to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies to contribute to and assist in the provision of high quality safe house accommodation and support to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, with a victim centred approach, focusing on safety and recovery

The successful candidate will have:

  • empathy with the needs of victims of domestic abuse and vulnerable women and the barriers they face
  • the ability to build relationships with service users
  • the ability to complete risk assessments, needs assessments and support plans  
  • the ability to learn new skills and a commitment to learning in the workplace
  • an understanding of cultural diversity
  • a full driving licence and access to transport
