Sports Coordinator
Hours: 36 hours per week subject to a 16 week probationary period. Some weekend and evening working may be required from time to time for special events. Time off in lieu will be granted
Salary: £19,804 to £22,164 per annum
Benefits: 20 days holiday and no less than 15 days for Christmas, New Year, Easter, May-Day, Spring and late Bank holidays (or days in lieu thereof), Pension Scheme

The Students Activities department is looking to recruit a key addition to its staff team following an exciting review of services for Sports Clubs at the University. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to our Sports Clubs on a day to day basis to enable them to organize safe and well-coordinated activities, booking facilities, support the Sports Officer with organizing the annual Sports events for all of the Sports Clubs including the annual Varsity competition, Sports Awards, Sports Day and overseeing and advising the Sports Clubs on their Club finances.

You will provide advice and guidance for these clubs, particularly in relation to health and safety, managing finances and legal compliance. This role is critical to the effectiveness of this relationship. Sport is an important part of campus life at Warwick and we work in partnership with Warwick Sport to strive for sporting achievement and an active campus.

You will be responsible for keeping the Sports Clubs sections of the SU website up to date and use your knowledge of social media to communicate effectively with our members, promoting the Sports Clubs and their activities.

In order to succeed, you must be an effective written and verbal communicator with strong customer service skills. You must also possess excellent planning and organisational skills and have experience of administering events & activities. You will be highly PC literate and able to use data to make improvements to services. Experience of working with volunteers in a sports environment is highly desirable.
