Exeter Mathematics School (EMS) is a unique 6th form, created to meet the needs of enthusiastic Mathematics students throughout the South West. Jointly sponsored by the University of Exeter and Exeter College and opened in September 2014, the school is a learning community in which students' needs are at the centre.
The school has a comprehensive outreach programme, providing support to schools, teachers and students throughout Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. We are employing an additional staff member from January to support this work during a period of maternity leave.
We are seeking to appoint an administrator to support the work of our Outreach and Admissions team. The post holder will be required to provide administrative and practical support to the School Events Coordinator, completing tasks that vary from setting up rooms and washing up cups, to proof reading documents and liaising with schools.
The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude and be willing to take instruction, roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. A sunny disposition will certainly help and the ability to work efficiently, accurately and independently is vital.
Working hours will be spread across three days a week and will include Thursday afternoon and Friday. The ability to flex hours according to event needs would be advantageous.
Further information about the school, additional information for prospective applicants and an application form are available on our website - click apply to be directed.
