Assistant Reporting Accountant

*URGENT CONTRACT ROLE - REPORTING ACCOUNTANT*

My client is a notorious insurance company seeking for an Assistant Reporting Accountant that would be in charge of assisting the technical and financial accountants.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in covering all aspects of financial accounting, finance policies and external reporting.

For this position, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of all statutory accounts and disclosures within the group including
• consolidated accounts (IFRS, Walker)
• company accounts (new UK GAAP)
• consolidated cashflow
• Special purpose vehicle accounts
• tax note in conjunction with tax advisors
• Filing of all accounts at Companies House within deadlines
• Preparation of quarterly High Yield Bond investor information including
• Financial statements
• Presentation to investors including script
• Solvency certificate
• Press release
• Q&A
• Responsible for accounting under IFRS and new UK GAAP
• Update of accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor of accounting and reporting developments for UK GAAP and IFRS
• Assist with ad hoc project or reporting work as required.

The ideal candidate MUST have:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA
• Minimum 3 years relevant technical accounting experience.
• Excellent Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Knowledge of other MS Products useful
• Detailed knowledge of IFRS (THIS IS KEY!)
• Strong personal commitment to meeting challenging deadlines.
• Proactive, enthusiastic with a hands on approach.
• Resilient and tenacious individual
• Very good communicator, who is able to work well under pressure.
• Excellent numeric and analytical skills.
• Methodical approach.
• Flexible team worker.
