We have an exciting opportunity for a talented 2nd/3rd Technical Support Engineer (Windows Server/Office 365/Vmware) to join my client, a fast-paced, growing E-commerce company based in Sleaford Lincolnshire, and become a key member of their busy Technical Support As a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer, you will act as the go to person, supported by junior technical analyst and also work closely with all levels of staff across the company. You will have outstanding communication skills and be adaptable and outgoing personality
As a Technical Support Engineer you will have the ability to demonstrate recent practical experience and a solid understanding of troubleshooting, supporting and administering: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and ideally, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003-2012. My client would also expect experience with Windows XP/7/8, Microsoft Office. Experience with VMware would be highly beneficial.
As a passionate IT Support Engineer you will have the ability to work under pressure, multitask and organise priorities, and have the ability to take ownership of issues and work to tight timescales.
Experience of using remote management and monitoring software, and technical troubleshooting & support of Symantec Backup and storage would also be very handy. You will also be responsible for supporting all areas and aspects of the Microsoft and Linux environments and provide technical management, development and problem solving to 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
The technical Support Engineer will support all areas and aspects of the virtualised environments, storage environments and backup technologies and to provide technical management, development and problem solving to 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
To support all areas of the data and telecommunications networks, server infrastructure both virtualised and physical and provide technical management, development and problem solving to 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
Key Requirements
Proven experience working in an IT department performing Technical Support role at either 2nd or 3rd line support level
Proven experience in at least two of the following disciplines:
Email messaging technologies
Network Management
Storage provision
Server Virtualisation
Telecommunications
Server Management
