General Manager

My client, a leading provider of logistics within the distribution industry, is currently recruiting a General Manager to have full leadership responsibility at their facility in Huddersfield (Yorkshire).

The successful General Manager will join a profitable distribution centre in Huddersfield, my client is growth focused and this role onsite is needed onsite to keep up with increasing volume delivered from there. The success of which will allow for future progression within the company for the successful candidate, my client has a unique culture which has played a key role in their continued growth.

This role requires an experienced General Manager who has gained experience within the role, the successful candidate will join a positive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement on site whilst having full responsibility for P&L and operational decisions onsite.

The position will suit someone who has worked at General Manager level who can reliably manage the flow of material both in and out of the depot and in turn to the end consumer. You will play a valued part in managing and motivating operations onsite to achieve daily output targets and deliver shift KPIs. You must be highly customer focused with strong communication at all levels, and you will be a motivated self-starter with strong team building principles.

The successful General Manager will have experience working of previously within a demanding distribution environment.

Your experience will include:

* Experience as a General Manager in a distribution environment;

* Comfortable running a demanding contract to high service levels;

* Passionate, resilient and with a positive outlook in difficult situations;

* Experience managing conflict and dealing with issues accordingly.

The following benefits package is available to the successful General Manager :

* GBP44,000 - GBP54,000 basic salary

* Bonus - up to 10%

* Company Car/Car Allowance
