Application Engineer / Application Team Leader / Programmer

Job title: Application Team Leader Location: Peterlee, County Durham, SR8 Salary: up to 43,000 dependent on experience Hours: Full time, Permanent Established over 30 years ago, the company, based in Co. They provide total test solutions to enable companies and organisations to comply with the demands of all types of legislation and covering a wide range of international standards for the manufacturing, medical, 17th edition and safety testing industries. The company is currently looking to recruit an Application Team Leader to join their team. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will get an opportunity to work alongside a talented team of engineers to develop a range of challenging engineering solutions Responsible for managing, leading and developing the Application team to deliver a number of small-medium complex projects Working closely with the Commercial team and the Production team to ensure that the design solution meets the appropriate requirements Liaise with customers and external contractors directly Maintaining the quality and integrity of the work produced by the Application team Following and contributing to the development of the Best Practice guidelines Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent Management experience in engineering area C/C++ programming experience on embedded platform Excellent Project Management and Team Leadership skills Desirable Experience: Experience in interfacing or managing offshore design resources Understanding of safety critical design Understanding of basic electrical and electronic parameters - e.g. measurements of resistance, voltage, current, insulation; 17th edition testing useful Please click the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
