Head of Human Resources

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the finest and largest open-air museums in the country as their Head of Human Resources.

The Black Country Living Museum welcomes over 320,000 visitors per year to explore and discover 300 years of Black Country history. With circa 270 staff to bring the Museum to life, we are always keen to ensure that our visitors “see, taste, feel, smell, hear and join in 300 years of Black Country history” and that our staff are engaged, motivated and equipped to deliver the fascinating stories of the rich heritage of the Black Country.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR professional to develop, manage and lead the Museum’s HR function and create an enabling environment to encourage our managers to get the very best from their teams.

With proven experience in a senior generalist HR role, the successful candidate will be credible at all levels, with the ability to be a strategic and operational partner to the Leadership team and deliver comprehensive HR advice. As the head of a small team, there is a requirement to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships and ensure that the Museum continues to attract and retain the best people.

Job Title: Head of Human Resources
Location: Dudley
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
