Our client manufactures an exciting range of systems for the construction, automotive, acoustic and audio markets, exporting to numerous countries around the world. They are a leading manufacturer of engineered facade and roofing systems to the architectural sector, complemented by a comprehensive range of fasteners, load bearing components and accessories. More recently, they have expanded with the purchase of the leading manufacturer of acoustic movable walls in the UK.
THE ROLE: Area Sales Manager-London & South East
The Area Sales Manager will further develop the profitable sales of Accordial acoustic movable walls to architects, specifiers, acousticians, main contractors and end clients.
This role will be responsible for identifying, creating, negotiating and closing tangible sales opportunities to gain profitable revenue, in line with budgeted criteria, as set by the managing director. Developing a close relationship with all major main contractors and architects in the sales area to grow business organically and find new business; obtain a good understanding of the company's products, market area, trends, opportunities and competitor activity

Key responsibilities for the Area Sales Manager-London & South East to include:
- Actively manage and develop the growth of acoustic movable wall sales within the sales territory
- Balance managing over 100 live quotes, each with a different decision-making team
- Provide accurate and timely management information, to include: target focused action plans, activity reports, forecasts and KPI's
- Ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers within the customer platform
- Monitoring sales data and keeping up to date with current market trends and customer needs
- First class consultative sales skills, showing a good understanding and the features and benefits of Accordial movable walls.
- Identify, quote, negotiate and close new business opportunities
- Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all decision makers
- Prepare monthly sales reports highlighting: Sales Forecast, Top 5 Customers, Won & Lost Projects etc
- Work with contract managers to ensure on time, on budget delivery of projects
- Be aware of all competitive activities within major customers
- Good disciplined use of CRM and administration
- Sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and its products
- Give pricing information to management and make recommendations
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers if appropriate
- Create sales strategies for sales manager/ director to approve
CRITERIA: Area Sales Manager-London & South East
- Previous experience in a Sales role from a relevant industry (Must have experience of selling into main contractors and architects in the Construction trade or interior Fit out industry)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to demonstrable a successful sales track record
- Good presentation skills
- Strong IT and Administrative skills
- Good standard of education (Graduate Degree or relevant qualifications desirable)
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
- Ability to cope with reasonable pressure
- Pro-active, positive and flexible attitude
- Reliable, dependable and trustworthy
