Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.

They now have a part time (18.5 hours per week) opportunity available for an AHCF (Agriculture, Horticulture, Countryside and Forestry) Technician to join them to assist the Senior Lecturers in organising and overseeing the care and maintenance of equipment in AHCF stores and workshops.

Liaising with the Senior Lecturers and members of the teaching staff to ensure that resources are available and provision is made to meet the requirements of the curriculum, you will be responsible for the production of display material and maintenance of accurate records and will attend meetings, shows, events and open days etc., as required and contribute to various on-site activities and events.

With a good understanding of the needs of various types of land based equipment and knowledge of health and safety regulations, you will have experience of working within busy practical based environments and of managing facilities and equipment.  Able to work well with a range of equipment and communicate effectively with students and colleagues, you must be self-motivated and able to work effectively without day to day supervision.
