£18,000 - £28,000 Negotiable + Company Pension Scheme, Travel allowance 45p per mile, Training provided via Company mentoring and training scheme.


We are looking for an accomplished Level 1 IT Support Engineer to join our growing company fulfilling an IT service desk support role. You will need to have a proven level 1 ability working under pressure and dealing with customers in a professional, effective and product way. There will also an opportunity to perform field service and project work if you are the right candidate. Your growth path could be into Field Service, Project work, L2 / 3 or security dependent totally on your attitude and work ethic.

About You:

Ideally you will have completed an information technology university degree or equivalent qualification. You need to have experience and proven ability in supporting the desktop and network in an active directory environment using software and systems commonly found in business today. You should have relevant Microsoft and other certifications or be close to achieving these. You will need to demonstrate a good work ethic and ability to swiftly and effectively deal with and resolve support needs according to best practice process.

This job is a customer facing role with telephone and face to face customer contact. As such you need to be presentable, well spoken and have the ability to follow process under pressure often working closely with our customers. The engineer is responsible for onsite service and support needs for our customers. Support requests relate to all technology including workstations, servers, printers, remote working, networks and network devices as well as vendor specific hardware and application software.

Level 1 IT Service Engineer Requirements: 

+ A degree in information technology or equivalent qualification
+ Current IT certifications
+ Demonstrable interest in computers and IT
+ Driving licence
+ Motivated to achieve, punctual, presentable, a fluent communicator
+ Valid UK drivers licence, a car with ability to get business travel insurance
+ A UK citizen or visa to work in the UK
+ Proximity to Hemel Hempstead an advantage
