The DevOps Engineer will Lead the DevOps function internally covering the Development, Maintenance, Performance and Security of the companies infrastructure / systems.

The position offers a great opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take on more responsibility as the role will evolve over time as the company and its technical environment continue to expand. Previous project leadership experience is desirable however the role is hands-on so experience candidates who are looking for a step up in responsibility will be well suited.

The DevOps Engineer main focus will be to will lead the development of their Enterprise SaaS infrastructure, help scale up the environment as it continues to grow.

Key responsibilities;

• As DevOps Engineer your focus will be to continuously improve the production infrastructure
• Reviewing existing infrastructure and offer suggestions for improvement, both long and short term
• Work closely with internal software Development and Product teams to Agile processes
• Highlight and resolve any performance issues
• Liaise with any relevant hosting providers and third parties

Demonstrate experience of;

• Previous 'DevOps' experience is essential
• Strong Linux Systems Administration
• Have a good understanding of Cloud products / AWS
• Configuration / Automation; Puppet, Chef
• Strong hardware and software firewall and security experience
• Scripting with Bash, Python, Ruby or similar

The environment is very collaborative and the teams work to an Agile structure, so excellent communication skills are essential.
