Project Assistant

Leeds

Salary: £16,478 per annum

12 Months Fixed Term Contract – 37.5 hours per week

Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Project Assistant on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Project Assistant at Bracken Court in Leeds working 37.5 hours per week. This is a 12-month fixed term contract

Bracken Court is set in its own grounds with 38 flats and 12 shared units. It is a popular service for customers who require longer-term temporary accommodation, with the offer of other services working alongside the organisation to deliver support to customers.

Working with vulnerable customers will be a daily part of your role, so a DBS will be required.

The Project Assistants play a vital role in providing administration support to the teams, as well as supporting clients to make their own life choices and to access the services they need.

You will provide a first-class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as a first point of contact for clients by telephone or in person.  You will engage with them to offer housing related support, responding to and escalating queries as necessary, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.

Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the empathy, interpersonal skills and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life.  Commitment to providing the quality service that our clients need is also essential.  You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.

In return, you will receive 25 days holiday and access to the pension scheme. The organisation also invests in their employees and want you to develop within the organisation and offer training and development opportunities.

Our client is one of the most innovative and progressive housing and regeneration organisations and they are proud to be improving quality of life for tens of thousands of families and individuals across the UK.  If you believe you can make an effective contribution in this role our client would really like to hear from you.

Closing Date: 31st October 2017
