Standard Setting Panel Members

Travel to London required

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the independent regulator for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises in Great Britain. It is our job to protect, promote and maintain the health, safety and wellbeing of members of the public by upholding standards and public trust in pharmacy.

Each year we hold two national registration assessments for pre-registration trainee pharmacists. Each assessment comprises of two papers. Part 1 is a 40-item calculation paper and part 2 is a 120-item multiple choice paper. More information on the registration assessment can be found on our website.

The GPhC has a panel of standard setters who review questions for the Registration Assessment and ultimately set the raw pass mark for each assessment paper using a modified Angoff process. We are looking to recruit a number of new members for this panel.

Standard setting panel members need to be pharmacists currently working in a role with a patient-facing element alongside recently registered pharmacists and/or pre-registration trainee pharmacists. They must be familiar with the standards for pre-registration pharmacist training and the knowledge and skills expected of recently registered pharmacists, and have experience of joint-decision making.  Knowledge of standard setting methodologies, and experience of standard setting and using multiple choice questions in assessment, is desirable but not essential.

We are proud of being an employer that values the diversity of its workforce and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and sections of the community to apply.

Aelodau Panel Gosod Safonau

Y Cyngor Fferyllol Cyffredinol (CFfC) yw’r rheoleiddiwr annibynnol ar gyfer fferyllwyr, technegwyr fferyllol ac eiddo fferyllol ym Mhrydain Fawr. Ein gwaith ni yw diogelu, hyrwyddo a chynnal iechyd, diogelwch a lles aelodau’r cyhoedd drwy gynnal safonau ac ymddiriedaeth y cyhoedd mewn fferylliaeth.

Bob blwyddyn byddwn yn cynnal dau asesiad cofrestru cenedlaethol ar gyfer fferyllwyr dan hyfforddiant cyn-cofrestru. Mae pob asesiad yn cynnwys dau bapur. Papur cyfrifo 40 eitem yw rhan 1 a phapur amlddewis 120 eitem yw rhan 2. Mae rhagor o wybodaeth am yr asesiad cofrestru i’w chael ar ein gwefan.

Mae gan y CFfC banel o osodwyr safonau sy’n adolygu cwestiynau ar gyfer yr asesiad cofrestru ac sydd yn y pen draw yn pennu’r marc pasio crai ar gyfer pob papur asesu gan ddefnyddio proses Angoff wedi’i haddasu. Rydym am recriwtio nifer o aelodau newydd i’r panel hwn.

Mae angen i aelodau’r panel gosod safonau fod yn fferyllwyr sy’n gweithio ar hyn o bryd mewn rôl sydd ag elfen wynebu’r claf ochr yn ochr â fferyllwyr sydd wedi cofrestru’n ddiweddar a/neu fferyllwyr dan hyfforddiant cyn-cofrestru. Rhaid iddynt fod yn gyfarwydd â’r safonau ar gyfer hyfforddiant fferyllwyr cyn-cofrestru yn ogystal â meddu ar y wybodaeth a’r sgiliau sy’n ddisgwyliedig gan fferyllwyr sydd wedi cofrestru’n ddiweddar a bod ganddynt brofiad o wneud penderfyniadau ar y cyd.  Mae gwybodaeth am fethodolegau gosod safonau, a phrofiad o osod safonau gan ddefnyddio cwestiynau amlddewis wrth asesu, yn ddymunol ond nid yn hanfodol.

Rydym yn falch ein bod yn gyflogwr sy’n gwerthfawrogi amrywiaeth ei weithlu ac anogwn ymgeiswyr o bob cefndir ac adrannau o’r gymuned i wneud cais.

Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau am y rôl hon yw 12 Tachwedd 2017. Cynhelir cyfweliadau ar 18 a 19 Rhagfyr 2017.

Os hoffech gael trafodaeth anffurfiol ynglŷn â’r rôl, cysylltwch ag a&p@pharmacyregulation.org gydag unrhyw gwestiynau, neu trefnwch alwad ffôn.
