FT3001 - Web & Applications Developer

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Web & Applications Developer for our technical client based in Harrogate. This is a permanent position with a salary of £32-42k depending on experience.

Role:

• Working in a team of developers alongside front-end developers and Project Managers
• Clearly defined role and objectives
• Proven company structure and processes means you focus on development
• Waterfall and agile methodologies applied depending on the client and project
• Working on a huge variety of projects, both in scale and industry
• Working with Peracto, built on Zend Framework
• Bespoke development work, rather than the menial plug-in you will find in many agencies

Requirements:

• Solid PHP SQL (LAMP) commercial experience
• MVC PHP framework (Zend preferred, otherwise, Symfony, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, etc)
• Experience working with APIs and Web Services (e. REST and SOAP)

Expected:

• Agency or large project/team experience Development project lead role experience Bespoke web application experience
• Competent front-end skills; particularly HTML, but ideally some CSS and JavaScript (JQuery) experience
• Version control (Git preferred otherwise SVN, Mercurial) Shell experience, such as version control and basic Apache modifications

• Continuous integration, e. Jenkins
• Unit testing, e. PHPUnit
• Comfortable in meetings and in front of clients
• Looking to bring ideas and encourage progress
