Installation Technician (Traffic, Signal, Electrical, lights, install, electricity Field Based) Crawley/West Sussex

We'd be delighted to hear from you if you have the following experience:

• Experience of working in a traffic environment preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electricity or communications preferred.

Role Profile:

• Install & commission Traffic Signal Equipment & cables under guidance of an experienced Installer.

• Hold or be working towards gaining certification to enable electrical testing & documentation to be completed.

• Locating underground services utilising detection equipment.

• Working alongside other contractors & stakeholders in a professional manner at all times.

• Able to undertake manual work as and when requested.

• Must be flexible in terms of working hours and location, nights and/or working away will form part of the working pattern.

• Ability to read and understand drawings along with scope of works.

Typical Deliverables:

• Assist in the Installation and commission of technology equipment traffic signal equipment.

• Installations to conform to HE standards and legislation.

• Cable testing and terminating.

• Liaise with 3rd parties and clients when requested.

• Must hold a full driving licence.

  Business Operations Skills - Qualifications:

• Electrical or communications qualifications desired.

Behavioural Requirements:

• Must be prepared to work alone or as part of a team.

• Must have good communications skills.

• Self-motivated and show initiative.

• Must be flexible and able to learn new skills.

• Follow instructions and conform to H&S regulations.

• Common sense is essential.
