Start your career in Housing or Customer Service as part of our new thriving team.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. As our Business Support Advisor, you will be at the heart of our Communications Hub, ensuring that every customer enjoys an excellent experience.

Our Business Support Advisors operate on the principle that ‘one call sorts all’ meaning that they fully own the enquiries via telephone, email, web chat, social media and the post. You will ensure rapid resolution in conjunction with our Housing Services Teams, Asset Management Team and external contractors. Your remit will span everything from sorting out tenancy enquiries, rent arrears, taking notices, parking issues to neighbour disputes and so on. You can expect plenty of variety and stimulation, plus the satisfaction of making a measurable difference to our residents’ lives.

At the same time, you will provide a front-facing service in each of our main reception areas as well as our contact centre.  You will also deliver back office functions to support our patch based staff – this will include reception cover, organising meetings, producing communication material, updating our website and social media pages, and dealing with cash reconciliations.  You will also become a Digi-Bug so as to help as many of our customers become confident transacting with us online as possible.

In short, as our Business Support Advisor you will be at the heart of everything we do, so we need a flexible, team-spirited customer service professional with exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills. If you’re familiar with the social housing sector, so much the better, but it’s your enthusiasm, can-do attitude and attention to detail that will matter most.

In return, we offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and a modern working environment.
