** Learning Support Assistant at a state-of-the-art secondary school in Harlow
** Long Term, Full-Time position starting ASAP
** GBP65-GBP70 per day, paid weekly (dependent on experience)
** A degree of 2:1 or above and experience supporting children or vulnerable people required
** Excellent training and support given by SEN department
The Learning Support Assistant Person Specification
This position is perfect for a resilient, assertive and patient person who is passionate about supporting vulnerable children. You need excellent communication skills and should be aiming to build meaningful relationships with hard to reach students. The new Learning Support Assistant will ideally have worked with Secondary aged children before and have an understanding of SEN requirements though the school can offer training and support throughout.
About the Learning Support Assistant Role
You will be required to provide support for students across the school who have various barriers to learning. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to support these pupils, both within class and separately. Training and support will be provided by your colleagues within the student support team and the role will give you good all round school exposure, ideal preparation for your future career.
