Java Developer

Spring, Tomcat, TDD

Java Developer with good Spring experience and an understanding of microservices is sought by a household UK name in York. You will be in a team that is undergoing a major digital transformation project, working on brand new builds as well as migrating/updating an existing codebase.

There is a big focus on scalability and architecture of the systems here, and as such the position will suit a Java Developer with an interest in and knowledge of software design patterns and architecture - an understanding of software development is far more important here than experience of any particular framework as full training will be given.

The successful Java Developer will have:

  • An excellent understanding of programming principle
  • Experience with microservices/micro-SOA
  • Knowledge of NoSQL and/or Docker would be a bonus

This is a great opportunity for a Java Developer with a real interest in microservices and a desire to make a real difference within the technology that they are working with.
