Location: Leicester

Summary
Our Client, based in Leicestershire, is a long-established manufacture, supplying products nationally & throughout Europe to a range of major high street retailers.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an accounts assistant / purchase ledger clerk to join the finance team on a temp to perm basis. You will ensure that correct payments are made to suppliers, process purchase invoices and maintain purchase ledger records. This is an all-round complete purchase ledger role, which will include ad-hoc duties as needed including covering for other members of the team during busy periods and holidays.

It is essential that you have very good organisational and strong interpersonal communication skills as building relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the business will come with this role. You will need to have a positive 'can do' attitude and a continuous improvement mind-set.

Experience of working in a fast moving, busy environment would be beneficial. Confidence with Microsoft office, in particular, Excel would be useful along with a good level of IT literacy.


Duties
*Processing invoices onto the ledger,
*Preparing weekly payments,
*Chasing missing invoices and matching to prepayments,
*Supplier statement checking and resolving any issues,
*Posting journals to correct invoice coding,
*Raising cheques when requested,
*Performing housekeeping tasks to keep ledger tidy,
*Sending out remittances on a weekly basis both by post and email,
*Liaising with invoice approvers re approval /credit notes,
*Process Expense claims and company credit card forms,
*Ad-hoc tasks.


Skills Required
*You will need to have a positive 'can do' attitude,
*Experience of working in a fast moving, busy environment would be beneficial,
*Strong systems skills including Excel & Word,
*Ability to communicate/report with both internal and external contacts,
*Ability to effectively and satisfactorily resolve queries,
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.


Package
*Salary: £16,000- £18,000 per annum
*Hours: Full-time 9:00am - 5:00pm (1/2 hr lunch)
*Holiday: 25 Days + STAT
*Auto-Enrolment Pension
