Cathcart Energy are currently recruiting for an HV (High Voltage) Engineer 33kV to work on High Voltage equipment for Wind Farms around the UK.
You will be based in Cambridgeshire, England and you will be responsible for HV and LV commissioning, testing and fault finding as well as general maintenance work in Substations. This will involve switchgear 33kV, transformers and cabling as well as HV and LV protection and programming protection relays.
The role will be office based and involve travel around the UK and occasional visits to Europe and you will be working for a leading wind turbine manufacturer. It will be Monday to Friday work travel time will be during your standard hours to maximise work/life balance and you will be home all weekends.
If any weekend work is required you will be paid overtime rates at the time and a half. All travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered.
This is a Permanent position with a base salary between GBP45,000 and GBP50,000.
You will need to have management or supervisory experience as you will be responsible up to 90 technicians. HV and LV cable jointing and termination, as well as previous experience as an SAP (Senior Authorised Person) 33kV.
