Head Housekeeper - Knutsford

My client is looking for a experienced Head Housekeeper to lead and motivate the team at their 4* property in Knutsford.

The suitable candidate will have similar experience at Head Housekeeper level in a 4* property of similar size.  This busy property has 138 rooms, a busy 80 seater restaurant, 2 private dining rooms, banqueting and spa facilities.

As Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for:

• Overall cleanliness and presentation of guests bedrooms, public areas and office space, ensuring that staff maintain the established standards, as specified in the Housekeeping Standards Manual and meet the requirements of the departmental Product Plan
• Organisation and implementation of deep cleaning schedule
• Effective communication with Reception to ensure return of ‘ready rooms’ at earliest opportunity
• To report maintenance, or any other deficiency, in the prescribed manner and to conduct the necessary checks upon completion of the remedial work

The Head Housekeeper will:

• Assist in the recruitment, selection and induction of Housekeeping employees
• Be actively involved in the planning and development of team members
• To plan and where necessary implement any training to ensure that all members of the team are able to perform their jobs
• To assist with staff appraisals, job chats, absence management.
• To ensure the efficient scheduling and deployment of employee hours in line with business and seasonal requirements
• Ensure that the departments accurately complete weekly time sheets for wages compilation
• Efficient and effective rota of staff to ensure the operation of the department as cost effectively as possible by monitoring weekly room bookings trends
