Finance Manager is needed by our client, a firm of UK leading Immigration Solicitors to be based in their Oldham (Greater Manchester) offices.
In the role you will report into the Head of Finance and have responsibility for the day to day running of the finance department, overseeing all areas (sales, purchase, bank etc). Introduce changes in methods and working patterns where this will increase efficiency and effectiveness. Leading and develop the finance team.
Other core areas of the role include:
Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary and year end accounts, including liaison with the external accountants.
Prepare annual budgets and then report on actuals compared to budgets and advise on actions to be taken.
Responsible for monthly payroll calculations and submissions to HMRC and for the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and business plans and report back on actual figures against forecasts.
Required Skills:
5+ yrs working in Finance
3+ yrs managing staff / line management
Almost qualified or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
Good IT skills - Word, Outlook, computerised accounting systems
Good communication skills both verbal and written
