Landfill Operative

Are you an experienced Landfill, Warehouse, Site or Plant Operative looking to take on a new challenge? If so Viridor are recruiting and are looking for individuals just like you!

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Landfill Operative for our team in Shelford, Canterbury, working 40 hours a week.

In return for your hard work as our Landfill Operative, we can offer a salary of £19,241 per annum plus excellent benefits, pension scheme and plenty of opportunity for personal development; working within in a team-orientated and collaborative environment, for a company that strives to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

The ideal Landfill Operative:

• Full C + E Licence (HGV 2)
• General knowledge of waste and recycling and experience of plant operation
• Full driving licence.

Landfill Operative Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the Shelford site
• Carrying out a variety of manual, machine and computer operating duties relating to the landfill and associated activities, including the reception and placing of waste delivered in to the landfill facility.
• Assist with other departments, as required by line management
• Coordinate landfill operations to ensure that waste is dealt with efficiently
